I run an Audiology practice with clinics in Virginia and North Carolina. Our practice focuses on the hearing needs of our patients and fitting of hearing instruments. Our patient demographic is generally elderly and due to the effects of COVID-19 we have downsized our practices. We applied early on for PPP and EIDL, we also submitted for several grants and a bridge loan through a Credit Union we bank with. We have been forced to furlough some of our providers and cease online advertising. Last month continuing into this month we have been in talks with a well established local practice wishing to consolidate our practices and better provide for our combined 1000s of patients here in Hampton Roads and North-Eastern North Carolina.

Hospitals and certain essential industries are receiving money set-aside to maintain critical operations. There does not seem to be funding for Private Medical Practices, with the real possibility of PPP funding running out before Private Practices and similar small businesses receive any, what can small business owners do? No foreseeable assistance, a struggling Industry and a lack of providers to treat patients with no known end in sight.
